From a parcel of 50 year old vines in Charmes proper that abuts Griotte.

This is also firmly reduced, though, without the acetate. As is usually the case chez Geantet, there is more volume and richness to the larger-scaled flavours that possess a caressing mouthfeel while flashing excellent power on the ever-so-slightly edgy finish due to the abundant gas. Like the Poissenot, my predicted range assumes that this will also be cleaned up appropriately.

Charmes-Chambertin

Charmes-Chambertin is one of the most famous Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, and is also the name of the associated AOC of the wines produced from it. Pinot Noir is by far and away the primary grape grown in Charmes, although as with other Burgundy AOC regulations the wines are permitted up to 15 percent Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc or Pinot Gris as auxiliary grapes.
