Description
The 2021 Barolo Comune di La Morra comes from old vines in Roggeri – the centre of Santa Maria di La Morra. The vines are situated in an east-facing plot, and this 2021 therefore has an extra degree of grace and elegance, light on its feet while still showing the expansive character of La Morra. The wine is fermented in stainless steel with 25 days on skins, before six months in tonneaux and a further 20 in Slavonian botti grandi. The palate is broad and giving, with notes of raspberry, fleshy peach and refreshing herbal tones. The tannins are beautifully resolved with a fine, knife-like acidity driving the wine forwards.
