Description
Westside Farms' vines endured a second year of drought but benefitted from a cool and even growing season. You can feel this coolness in the wine; there's orange peel, lime, a bit of pastry, chamomile, and honey, which all come together delicately. There's a nice weight counteracting the freshness, followed up with a tangy and savoury finish.

The 2021 Chardonnay Estate Westside Farms is a pretty, expressive wine. Light tropical and sweet floral notes give it tons of flair. This silky, perfumed Chardonnay has quite a bit of character. The 2021 emerges from a single block of Westside Farms, planted in 1989 on AxR1 rootstock with the aromatic Spring Mountain clone.

A tantalizing aroma of key lime pie leads to gorgeous, appetizing citrus flavors backed by vibrant acidity in this medium-bodied, superbly balanced wine. Hints of cream, butter and vanilla bean develop as you sip and linger on the finish, along with zesty lemon and lime. Drink or hold.
The 2021 Chardonnay Westside Farm is a bright straw color and reveals notes of lilac, melon, toast, and candied apples. There’s a phenolic grip on this wine, and it has a long, balanced structure, great length, and a salty finish. It’s going to age fantastically over the coming 8-10 years.
