Description

Romain’s ‘entry-level’ Saumur Blanc comes from a mixture of parcels and is aged 7-10 months on lees in both stainless steel and foudres. The same winemaking process and vineyard management are used for his top cuvees, which is why this is the best value white Saumur on the market, full stop! Lovely fine aromas of white flowers and peach with some ripe lemon. On the palate,  some great notes of wet stone and stunning freshness are associated with some sweet spices and textured stone fruits. On point this!

A blend from vineyards in Montreuil-Bellay and Brézé. Sandy-silty clay over tuffeau. Aged 6 months in tank, barrel and foudre. Certified organic.

Lively and bright, with floral and quince notes. Crystalline with lots of acidity and tension. Lighter weight. Finishes with a saline note. Good as an aperitif or with shellfish.
