Description

This vineyard came to the estate through Marc-Olivier’s mother’s side (she is a Pavelot). It sits on the western edge of the road from Beaune to Savigny and, to Marc-Olivier’s chagrin, a while ago it was disrupted by the digging of trenches to connect with the wind turbines higher on the hill. Perhaps those side effects are now being surmounted: this is seductively and gently fruity with a long, gentle delicate expression of red fruit right across the palate.

Also one of the last to be picked. A paler crimson, a more pleasing bouquet, with modest ripeness, back to the past. Fresh cherries, reasonably juicy on the palate with some density after all. All fruit, not so much structure.
