Description

Lean cut and bright citrus fruit on the nose. An intense bouquet of slightly sweet lemon peel and more herbaceous notes towards the background. This is a wine of real structure, depth and ripeness. The palate brings with it more astute green apple notes. Orchard pear and creamy oak towards the mid palate. The finish is pronounced with a fine saline edge. A very inviting wine that will no doubt benefit from a couple years cellaring.

The 2021 Chardonnay Woolsey Road Vineyard is another dense, ample wine in this range. The Woolsey Road has a good deal of phenolic intensity. There's real breadth and resonance here. Lemon confit, white pepper and dried herbs are nicely amplified.

Bright straw-colored, the 2021 Chardonnay Woolsey Road Vineyard is forward on the nose with notes of melon rind, fresh pear, flint, and delicate baking spice, and it has a lot of vibrant nature. Medium to full-bodied, it offers fantastic tension and a linear feel with great length, and it’s going to age very well.
