Tasting note

Planted exclusively to Dijon Clones 114, 115, and 777, and matured in French oak for 12 months, this is an outstanding expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir.  The stunning bouquet invites you in with intense aromas of wild blueberry, baking spices, and hints of blossom. The palate is incredibly complex with an abundance of red berry fruit, raspberry coulis, alongside notes of hedonistic spice.  The texture is smooth and caressing, alongside refreshing acidity and a very persistent finish.

Still reticent on the nose, a quieter, cooler style with fine chalky tannins and detailed floral, mineral-inflected fruit. Youthfully austere even at this age, this slow-burner will gain more finesse and detail with time in the cellar. No rush with this one.
