It is a dark purple, even in colour across the glass. There is a wealth of fruit with evident purity. The Clos St-Denis is flamboyant compared to the more granular Clos de la Roche. It fills the mid-palate juicily, then with adequate structure behind it. There is a darker raspberry throughout.
