Description
The site from which this Bourgogne Aligoté comes is an old quarry, situated in the combe above Nuits-St Georges. The vineyard was planted in 1978 with Aligoté Dorée, an older clone of the variety with – as the name suggests – more golden skin. This encourages Thibault to allow the wine about a week of skin contact, giving it a pithy texture.

Critics reviews
After one week of skin maceration before fermentation, the wine is transferred to barrel, where it remains. A reasonably profound yellow colour thanks to the skin contact with a forceful bouquet, everything being concentrated including the lightly bitter notes. A deliciously ripe fruit on the palate, with some yellow plums as well as the more typical greengage. Lovely persistent aftertaste.
