Description
The 2021 Volnay Les Taillepieds 1er Cru is two-thirds whole clusters instead of 100%. It has an attractive nose with white and black pepper notes that infuse the dark berry fruit with touches of black tea and bay leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, nicely balanced and quite fresh with a touch of spice towards the more understated finish. Fine.

50% whole cluster
Medium depth of crimson colour. Lifted fresh red berry with a certain acidity. The Taillepieds is evenly balanced on the palate with a wealth of attractive dark red fruit sitting alongside the whole cluster freshness.
