Made exclusively from shot berries picked from vines that average 80 years of age.

Very firm reduction renders the nose unreadable at present. The impressive density imparted by the shot berries is immediately perceptible to the larger-scaled flavours, which brim with dry extract. This helps to buffer the firm acid spine, shaping the powerful, serious, and borderline tannic finish. This isn’t particularly refined, but it is certainly impressive. With that said, this, too, is going to require at least a few years of patience.

The 2021 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat Les Quarts Cuvée Millerandée was cropped at around 30hL/ha, much lower than the regular cuvée due to the shorter bunches and smaller berries. It has an almost clinically intense bouquet with Zen-like petrichor and granitic scents. The palate is very well balanced, with plenty of energy and particularly superb salinity on the finish. Excellent.
