Description
The Mont-Cuchot 1er Cru is grown on one of Domaine Berthenet’s later-to-ripen sites, and so only 20% of the crop was lost to frost. The wine shares many of the crisp, chalky notes of the Tête de Cuvée, but there is more density and presence. Around 30% of the wine was aged in 28 litre barrels, although none were new.

Some light, sweet oak in evidence on the nose but exciting citrus lime?) notes on the palate. This really races along. Chalky finish.
