Description

An incredibly vibrant and fragrant nose on this. Very inviting, full to the brim with bountiful sour red cherry fruit and red currant aromas. There is a hint at some more herbal aromas here, but the main focus is on the plush red fruit that continues onto the palate. The palate is markedly similar to the nose. The sour cherry returns with some force but there is a bit more delicacy here. The more ripe, sweeter red fruit appears, more pomegranate and raspberry at this stage. This being volcanic, there is a mention of some mineral texture in this wine, but the acidity is the true hero I feel. Rasping, effective and refreshing, this ties the wine together to a long, saline finish.

Healthy and energetic wine. Lots of red cherries, maraschino liqueur, rose petals, and ruby grapefruits followed by crushed lava rock undertones. Structured and creamy with crunchy and chewy tannins lifting the palate. Opulent floral characters give this an edge at the end.
