Critics reviews
The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge offers tart red cherry fruit that just misses a little complexity compared to other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly sharp tannins and a touch of greenness on the finish. This is a bit out of sorts.

Medium to light crimson. A beautiful pure pinot fruit. Really classy on the palate, with the domaine’s signature oak at the back. Perfect acid balance. Looking forward to seeing this in bottle.

About this wine
Bourgogne
In the Burgundy hierarchy, “Bourgogne” denotes the entry level of the classification system. This is a so-called “regional” appellation, theoretically covering the entire vineyard area of Burgundy. This is distinct from the more geographically precise village-level, Premier Cru and Grand Cru designations. The two most common Bourgogne-level wines are Bourgogne Blanc (“White Burgundy”) and Bourgogne Rouge (“Red Burgundy”).
