Description

From a rarely seen 1er that measures only .64 ha.

A cool, airy and exceptionally pretty nose reflects notes of the essence of various red berries, especially raspberry, along with lilac and rose petal hints. There is an outstanding delineation of superbly intense flavours that are akin to rolling tiny pebbles around in the mouth before terminating a moderately austere, focused and chiselled finish. At least some patience will be required as this is very tightly wound at present.

Six barrels made including two new. All destemmed, and has recently been racked but will be going back to barrel. Ruby crimson in colour. Lightly reductive, hence a touch rubbery. This has suffered a bit behind the racking, I think, making it a bit stricter and less suave.
