Description

Beaurepaire is our pick of David’s excellent whites. Its limestone soil is perfectly suited to making mineral Chardonnays; the south-facing exposition gives pleasing fruit ripeness. The nose has glorious ripe citrus and stone-fruit, with a hint of toast and some chalky freshness. The palate is juicy and succulent, with a fine, long finish that leaves the mouth watering. Drink 2024-2029.

Grown on terraces in a dry location. Pale lemon colour. The bouquet is at this stage more discreet than the village wine. Lemon scented, a fine backbone to this, but it is not singing more than the village Santenay.
