2020 Charmes-Chambertin, Grand Cru, Claude-Dugat, Burgundy

A more elegant nose derives more from the red side of the fruit spectrum with more spice and a bit less earthiness. The delicious medium-weight flavours possess a caressing palate feel along with excellent vibrancy, all wrapped in a dusty, youthfully austere and focused finale. This is also very good and a wine that should easily reward 12 to 15 years of ageing.

Drink from 2032 onward

Another stunner is the 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a striking wine that soars from the glass with aromas of cherries, rose petals, wild berries, sweet spices and loamy soil. Full-bodied, ample and concentrated, it's deep and layered, with an enveloping core of vibrant fruit and a long, penetrating finish.
