Description

Since 2018, the Barolo Classico has been a 50-50 blend of two different vineyards – San Giovanni in Monforte d’Alba and Monrobiolo di Bussia in Barolo. The brothers’ plot in San Giovanni benefits from a cool, afternoon wind and brings the graceful, perfumed character to the blend. The Monrobiolo di Bussia is responsible for the depth and structure. Both plots are vinified separately, with maceration including fermentation for a total of 30 days before 24 months in tonneau. The palate is defined, with sweet and vibrant 2020-style highs supported by a reassuring structure.

Barolo. Just mid ruby. Complex, subtle and concentrated on the nose at the same time. Minerally core wrapped up in cherry fruit. Lots of supple acidity and fragrant light fruit while very persistent and long. Fine grip of grainy tannins on the finish. Almost ephemeral.
