For the 2020 vintage, we continue our long relationship with the Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages. The nose is bright and fragrant, with notes of cassis, brambles and wild cherries. The palate brings more wild-berry complexity and a warming note of cedar spice from the oak barriques used during maturation. True to its Pauillac origins, Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the blend. Merlot was particularly strong in 2020; the higher proportion than usual (36%) brings a subtle roundness to the palate. It is an approachable yet wonderfully elegant expression of Pauillac.
