Allen Meadows 88/100

Here the ripe and fresh nose isn't quite as spicy though the wood is even more subtle. There is fine volume and solid density to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a lovely texture and better-balance on the lingering finale. With that said, this needs to develop better depth though it should be able to do so if given a few years of cellaring first.

Tucked away behind the two ‘Montrachet’ villages, Saint-Aubin is a great source of fine, steely white Burgundy and some attractively fruity reds. Production used to be about 50:50 between the two colours, but the increasingly popular whites now represent two-thirds of the crop. There is a vast difference between the best Premiers Crus (ie En Remilly) and the vineyards further up the valley.
