Description
Warmer but well-sited, this 1.5-hectare vineyard sits north of the Hill of Corton, facing southeast but protected against the wind from the combe on a steep slope. This has seen 15% new oak, with one-third in larger barrels and the rest in standard 228-litre. It has a creamy texture around the hazelnut and lime flavours.

In bottle. 15% new wood. Pale lemon with a fine green streak through the middle. Quite restrained nose. Very clean, clear cut white fruit, with power but also a sense of elegance, the texture is velvety and slightly more nuanced than the village Pernand. Enough acidity, supple and long. There is a faint touch of cinnamon from the barrel. Vigorous mid yellow, starts discreetly but the nose builds, classic Pernand albeit with good volume.
