Description
From one hectare on pink granite, this is always quite structured for a wine of its type. It’s muscular and serious. The drought produced a small 20hl/ha, giving very ripe fruit. The wine has a rich summer-pudding bouquet. The palate is serious and mineral, with a little smokiness. The finish is about granite and acidity, both splendidly intense.

Critics reviews
The 2020 Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux has a pretty violet and rose petal-scented bouquet with more delineation and complexity than the Vieilles Vignes. The palate is sweet and fleshy at the entry, with Morello cherries and orange sorbet and quite peppery towards the finish. This is a delicious and generous Moulin-à-Vent that should age well in bottle.

Fine, fresh purple. The bouquet is more refined than the Vieilles Vignes, even with a suggestion of a future pinot character, as can happen with this appellation. The Rouchaux cuvée is ripely delicious, with fine tannins, while just at the finish, the Gamay profile reasserts. Surprisingly and pleasingly long.
