Description

Stéphane Ogier is one of the leading new generation producers in the Northern Rhône. Trained in Beaune, he brings his Burgundian approach to the Côte-Rôtie with his approach to terroir, vinifying all of this parcels separately. This mixed case of his lieux dit offerings are what normally form the basis of his "Mon Village" cuvée. In the best years, he releases a selection of them as single vineyard offerings too, always in a mixed case. This highlights his Burgundian approach and acts like a tour around the Côte-Rôtie.

This mixed case comprises one bottle each of the following lieux-dits: Montlis, Fongeant, Côte-Bodin, Leyat, Bertholon, Le Champon, Cognet, Montmain, and La Viallière. Whilst 2019 saw some extremes of heat, the wines produced showed good density and structure, with excellent freshness too. They have delicate floral aromas and great intensity and depth.
