Description

Diego and Damiano Barale’s Barolo Classico comes from a blend of their two vineyards in the Barolo and Monforte communes, contributing different characteristics to create a harmonious blend. This wine is particularly stunning in 2019. The west-facing, sandy soils of the Monrobiolo di Bussia cru bring warmth and richness, with notes of succulent cherry and chewy tannins. The cooler, east-facing, marly soils of San Giovanni elevate this powerful wine with fragrance and mineral purity. Balanced, concentrated and fine, the quality of the vintage really shines through here.

Just mid ruby. Subdued red fruit but with a sense of fullness on the nose. Succulent and slow to open up on the palate. Raspberry fruit lined with tasty tannins. Poised and with great length.
