Description
The 2019 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully balanced, multi-layered wine exuding complex aromas of cedar, dried herbs and blueberry. The palate is immediately accessible, with a silky texture and a delicious array of juicy dark fruits, intertwined with further complex notes of spice and mocha. It’s elegantly structured, with a satisfying freshness and a very persistent finish. It is drinking very well now but will cellar for ten years or more.

Critics reviews
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon swans out of the glass with gregarious scents of black cherries, cassis, and blackberry pie plus nuances of incense and camphor. The medium to full-bodied palate is expressive and juicy, with a plush texture and oodles of freshness, finishing with a minty lift.
Drink 2024 - 2040
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a pretty rich wine for Heitz. Dark fruit, spice, leather and chocolate are all dialed up in this juicy, succulent Cabernet. The 2019 is a wine of transition at Heitz. It is the first vintage in which a part of the wine was aged in casks (new at the time), which left some uncharacteristic wood notes in the wine that show up in its racy personality. There's certainly plenty to like.
