Giacosa have thirteen hectares of Falletto, and it is their monopole. The south-facing section of the vineyard is reserved for their Vigna dei Rocche. The rest is used for the Barolo Falletto, which is aged in 100hl botte for 32 months. The bouquet was rather reserved at tasting, but the firm power is all on the palate. There is certainly sufficient flesh over the Serralunga bones, but all bound into a single essence by the velvety touch of the estate’s master winemaker, Dante Scaglione.
