2016 Leiper's Fork, Single Cask #73, Tennessee Whiskey, USA (58.1%)

This is a fascinating whisky with so many layers on the nose. Initially, you get a gentle milk-chocolate note, but under this is a hint of cherry and honey. The palate is extremely round, with summer berries and butterscotch. I love a whiskey with some rye in the blend; here, it gives the whiskey that classic spiciness. This is something quite special.
