Description

This splendid little whiskey shows almonds in various states of attire, from freshly hulled to blanched, sugared and toasted and even into the syrup-glazed kind found atop spiced confections. Wheat, when used to make whiskey, can often imbue lightness into the spirit. Alongside sensitive maturation, this makes for a beguiling dram. Accompanying the almond symphony are touches of milk chocolate, vanilla ice cream and a tiny wisp of menthol. A splash of water is glorious here to unlock the most worthwhile and complex elements from the oak.
