Description

Glenallachie, since 2017 under the stewardship of Billy Walker, is becoming known for richly-fruited Speyside malt whisky, with depth and complexity aplenty. This whisky was finished for nearly two years in casks that previously held red wine, from Bordeaux, the Languedoc and the Veneto; these last having been used for unctuous Recioto della Valpolicella. The result is a dram rich in berry and cherry flavours, with toasted coconut, liquorice allsorts and a moreish finish.
