Description
This was one of two fabulous cask samples that I was privileged to taste with our Buyer, Rob Whitehead, earlier this year. With the early summer heatwave turning our offices in SW1 slightly tropical, this fabulous dram showed all the intense spicy smoky cinnamon development that one could hope for given the background this liquid has enjoyed: two years in bourbon casks, followed by nine years in Ferrand Cognac cask, with a final 12 months in a Big Peat Islay Blended Scotch whisky cask. There are just under 100 bottles from this limited release to enjoy.
