2008 Tomintoul, Madeira Cask Finish, 15-Year-Old, Speyside, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (46%)
- 46% alcohol
- Scotch Whisky
Description
On the nose, you’re greeted with comforting warmth—think cinnamon-topped apple pie straight out of the oven, accompanied by a soft fruitiness of apricot and dried sultanas. There’s also a slight earthiness with black tea in the background. The palate follows with rich layers of flavour, from red berries to fragrant oak and a dusting of brown sugar.
The citrus peel adds a bright, zesty note, contrasting with black pepper and honey. The finish is long, with oaky spice lingering. At 46% ABV and no added colour or filtration, this whisky maintains its natural depth and character, making it a harmonious and well balanced expression.
