Tasting note

This characterful dram was created to mark The English Distillery’s 18th birthday. It is drawn from a selection of Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez Sherry and virgin oak casks, laid down between 10 and 18 years ago. The nose is inviting and spiced, with notes of soft toffee, a dusting of cinnamon and a hint of bramble fruit.

On the palate, tart rhubarb meets cracked black pepper, with vanilla sweetness and a lift of citrus zest. The finish is steady and warming, unfolding in layers of stewed fruits and gentle wood spice. This is an expressive English malt with quietly assertive charm – and a fitting way to celebrate 18 years of distilling.
