Tasting note

This is one of the oldest bottlings yet of this iconic Ghost Distillery – admittedly recently revived but many decades from replicating whiskies like this. After 42 years in a refill ex-Sherry butt, 181 bottles were created of this massive whisky. Bitter chocolate, oily tar, thick smoke and gooey dates make this a dram for a true hedonist or a committed whisky scholar exploring the extremes of this iconic Islay distillery. This is one for brooding over, or with, depending on your mood.
