1952 Glen Grant, Private Collection, Platinum Jubilee, Speyside, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (52.3%)
- 52.3% alcohol
- Scotch Whisky
Description
This is an ancient and supremely dignified Glen Grant from Elgin’s finest Independent Bottlers, Gordon & Macphail. It is exceptionally rare to experience a Platinum Jubilee and similarly unusual to find a whisky with seven decades of maturation under its belt. This reminds me of a country kitchen spice cupboard; an oaken structure containing innumerable hand-labelled spice pots having been filled and refilled over the years. Spending time gently breathing it in gives the most nourishing rewards. This is one to toast the generations of angels who each took their share of this beautiful whisky.

About this spirit
Speyside
To some Speyside represents the jewel in whisky’s crown. Speyside is the home of legal whisky production and it’s best known examples. Around the world Glenlivet, Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenrothes and Glenfarclas typify all that whisky, at it’s best has to offer.
