Tasting note

This is a delicious Laphroaig, and a fine example of real romance in whisky production: a peat kiln was left firing longer than planned, delivering a unique, nutty and delectable proposition. It is certainly fuller than the previous two Elements releases, though it still has plenty of the classic seaweed, brine and peat smoke character.

The unintentional, but fortuitous, extended roasting of the peat has given this dram additional, more robust flavours of coffee, hazelnuts and hōjicha (a Japanese green tea).
