The Macallan Double Cask has a unique flavour profile, from which it gets its namesake. Over five years of expert craftsmanship is spent making and preparing The Macallan's Exceptional Oak casks, which are created from sherry-seasoned European and American oak staves. This is what gives The Macallan Double Cask its rich tapestry of flavour and distinctive natural colour, bringing drinkers a multi-faceted experience from the first sip to the last.

Tasting note

This beautiful single malt leads with an early and bright creamy richness on the nose, with the sweet notes from the American oak hinting at the mouthwatering palate. Freshly baked almond biscuits, and impressive citrus and orange peel give the whisky great structure and finesse. There’s plenty of tropical fruit, caramelised pineapple and confected fig here, and the full texture means the flavour lingers and holds, so it can be enjoyed long after the final sip. As exceptional a whisky as one could hope to find.
