Description
The 6th Creation Cù Bòcan comes from Pedro Ximenez and Jamaican rum casks. It’s the PX that is noticeable initially upon taking in the aromas with dried fruit and ginger mingling in an elegant dance. The rum cask then comes to the forefront upon sipping with tropical flavours such as pineapple, but it's the creamy banana milkshake finish that is the star of the show.
I’m not generally a fan of a banana note in my drinks whether it be a wheat beer or whisky, but…. and it is a big but, it works beautifully here. Maybe it’s the creamy element of the mouthfeel, maybe it’s the ever so lightly peated element helping it, either way well done Tomatin as number 6 of the Cù Bòcan is a triumph.
