Description

This astonishing blended Scotch whisky from The Last Drop is a masterful union of over 40 malts and grains. After bottling a particularly robust overproof Jamaican rum, the independent bottler found itself with an empty barrel, which inspired a bold idea: to finish its beloved 1971 blended Scotch in this cask. The result is a whisky that has soaked up a wealth of character, delivering a truly unique and complex expression. With only 182 bottles available, this limited edition is a treasure for anyone who appreciates fine whisky.

On the nose, we taste vibrant high ester notes from the rum cask. The luscious fruitiness of ripe bananas mingles with mixed spices and subtle hints of liquorice. The palate offers a blend of rich, sweet fruit flavours, perfectly balanced by the dark spiciness of black treacle and caramelised pineapple. A touch of cinnamon adds depth, with lingering notes of liquorice.
