Plantation, Single Cask 2022 Release, Port Cask, Rum, Barbados (44.9%)

Plantation Rum, established by Maison Ferrand, is celebrated for its premium rums, sourced from across the globe. The 13-Year-Old Fiji Rum, a limited-edition bottling, showcases the distillery’s expertise in blending and ageing. Plantation’s dual ageing process involves an initial maturation in the rum’s country of origin, followed by further ageing in France, to enhance complexity. This Single Cask was produced from a blend of pot and column still spirit, distilled from molasses that was fermented for three to four days. It was then aged four years in Barbados in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a year in France in a Ferrand Cognac cask. It was then finished in four months in an ex-Port cask.
