The NV Extra Brut Mont Benoît Premier Cru is a blend of 37% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay from 2020 with 20% reserve wines. A floral note hovers above ripe red apple flesh. The palate is ripe, rounded and smooth, with supple bubbles and a sense of red apple peel, waxiness and apple pip bitterness. Everything about this is smooth and rounded, speaking of 2020 sunshine and mellowness, with a lovely, salty, bright highlight on the mid-palate that pulls everything into focus. This Extra Brut is lightly short but exquisitely salty with a lovely finish. Disgorged: February, 2023.
