Description

Deanston Distillery, converted from an old cotton mill in 1965, is in the Scottish Highlands. Known for its craft approach and traditional methods, the distillery produces high-quality single malt whiskies using pure water from the River Teith. Deanston was one of the first Scottish distilleries to receive organic certification. The distillery generates its own electricity using a hydroelectric plant that harnesses the river's power.
