Description

A wonderfully toothsome ode to barley from Glenmorangie showcases their home-grown grain magnificently. As usual at this distillery, elegance is the order of the day, and never has that mantra seemed wiser than with such excellent raw material to work with. Sweet and savoury maltiness coats every corner, with masterfully judged maturation in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels giving fudge, wafer and custard to this golden dram. This is liquid sunshine - an afternoon treat.

Critics reviews

Jonny McCormick 94/100

Single-estate whisky made from the Cadboll Estate’s 2007 harvest, matured in custom-toasted air-dried casks. The nose is buttery, with creamy vanilla, brioche, honeycomb, flowers, and delicate white pear, honeydew, peach, and marzipan fruits. A rich, rewarding mouthful of dried fruits, vanilla, apricot, candied lemon, juicy pear, and cantaloupe, with hints of green banana and eucalyptus. Fading dried apricot on the finish with menthol touches.
