Since the early 1960s, three generations of the Drouin family have been growing apples, making cider, distilling spirit, and patiently ageing it to become first-class Calvados. For our Berry Bros. & Rudd Calvados, refill casks are primarily used, which allows the gentle beauty of the orchards to shine through unimpeded by a surfeit of wood. Effervescent cider on the nose combines subtle spice and soft oak as the palate progresses. The finish leaves no doubt about the painstaking attention to detail at every step of the production: it’s as satisfying as sinking one’s teeth into a crunchy Norman pomme!
