Description
Balbir Distillery is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, founded back in 1790. The distillery employs a long 62-hour fermentation, with over four hours of slow distillation. This measured approach allows Balblair to build complex flavours in its whiskies. This was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being moved over to first-fill Spanish sherry butts, creating a harmonious flavour profile of dark fruits and dried oak.
