Description

This limited-edition rum, bottled at 44.1% ABV, is a masterful blend of 14 hand-selected casks—10 whisky casks from the 2003 and 2009 vintages and four Cognac casks from 2008. The youngest component, aged four years, and the oldest, ten, come together to create a spirit of striking depth and sophistication, offering a complexity that far exceeds its age. With only 5,900 bottles released globally, this is a rare and highly collectable expression. Awarded a Gold Medal at The Spirits Business Rum Masters, it is a testament to expert blending and the transformative influence of time and wood.

Tasting note

The rum shines a deep amber hue in the glass with golden highlights, hinting at the richness to come. The nose is inviting and layered, with soft citrus and tropical fruits taking the lead. These are beautifully interwoven with delicate wood tannins and floral notes of orange blossom. Deeper still, one finds the comforting aromas of rich espresso and a savoury-sweet note reminiscent of honey-glazed, clove-studded ham, adding a luxurious and unexpected dimension.

On the palate, the rum is smooth and exquisitely balanced. The citrus and tropical fruit character continues with vibrancy, accompanied by subtle nutty undertones and a gentle touch of vanilla. The interplay between the whisky and Cognac cask influences lends structure and softness, resulting in great finesse and depth.
