Domaine des Sénéchaux dates back to the 14th century, making it one of the oldest wineries in the Rhône Valley. It spans 27 hectares across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, of which three hectares are planted with white grape varieties. The estate’s main holdings are on the south-westerly slopes of the Bois Sénéchaux, just to the east of the town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, some of their Grenache vines are up to 90 years old. Production remains very traditional. The estate was acquired in 2006 by the Cazes family, best known as the owners of Château Lynch-Bages in Bordeaux.
