A legacy rooted in excellence

Few estates in Rioja can claim such a storied past. Restored in the early 1980s by the visionary Iñigo Amezola de la Mora, the property was revitalised with a focus on authenticity and craftsmanship. It's 65 hectares of vineyards, perched at high altitude, that benefit from cooler conditions that nurture fruit of exceptional balance and character. These vineyards yield wines that marry vibrant red berry notes with subtle vanilla, hallmarks of classic Rioja elegance.

Tradition carried forward

The estate’s journey has not been without hardship. Following Iñigo’s untimely passing in 1999, his wife, Kitty, and long-standing bodega manager, Julio Galarreta, took the helm, ensuring his vision endured. Today, their work is supported by renowned Bordeaux winemaker Georges Pauli, whose expertise adds a refined touch to every bottle. Together, they continue to craft wines that honour the estate’s heritage while embracing the future of Rioja.
