Thomas Siret is part of a long line of Champenois vignerons and winemakers. His father worked for the likes of Krug and Piper-Heidsieck while growing his own grapes, which he would then sell to some of Champagne’s most renowned Houses. In 2013, Thomas decided to bottle their own vineyard holdings, marking a new chapter in the family book.
Based in Mesnil-sur-Oger, Thomas has vineyards across the Côte des Blancs and Côte de Bar. These span L’Aube and a hectare of prized Grand Cru Mesnil-sur-Oger vines, separated into 10 different parcels. All vineyards are organic, and are usually situated atop a ridge, near a forest.
Thomas has a relatively small range of four wines, which includes a vintage Mesnil, a Rosé, a Perpetual Reserve cuvée and a Coteaux Champenois. He is currently replanting vines through massal selection, and will soon reintroduce the use of large oak barrels for both fermentation and ageing.
