Revival and reputation
When Peter Sichel acquired Angludet in 1961, the vineyards and winery were in poor condition. Through decades of dedicated restoration and investment, he rebuilt the estate's reputation, turning it into one of Margaux’s most respected and reliable names. Today, Château Angludet is known for crafting elegant, structured wines that capture the finesse and longevity expected of great Margaux.
Vineyards and winemaking
The estate encompasses 32 hectares of vines planted with: Cabernet Sauvignon (58%) Merlot (35%) Cabernet Franc (5%) Petit Verdot (2%). Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precision and purity. The wine is then aged in oak barriques (25–33% new) for 12 months before being bottled unfiltered—preserving depth and character in every vintage.
