After three decades shaping Spain’s most celebrated wines, García created Alnardo to follow his own philosophy: wines of balance, authenticity and drinkability. He aims to craft Ribera del Duero with finesse, avoiding the heaviness often associated with the region.

PSI draws on fruit from more than 200 small plots across Ribera del Duero, many planted with old bush vines at high altitude. This patchwork of chalk, clay and sandy soils adds complexity and purity, ensuring the wine expresses the region’s remarkable diversity while supporting growers who preserve its viticultural heritage.

Named after the Greek letter Ψ (psi), symbolising renewal and preservation, the project reflects a commitment to protecting old-vine Tempranillo. Gentle extraction and maturation in large oak and concrete vessels preserve freshness and balance. The result is a wine that is approachable in youth yet capable of graceful ageing — a benchmark expression of Ribera del Duero today.
